Sound familiar?
You know the shirt. The thin one that clings to your chest and stomach. The tee that rides up when you sit down, or hangs halfway to your knees. The "big size" shirt that fits like a tent.
So you size up, and it just gets baggier. You buy black, again. You untuck your shirt to cover your stomach, hold your breath for photos, and leave the shirt you actually liked on the shelf.
It's not you. It's the clothes.
Why this keeps happening
Made bigger.
Not better.
Most brands design for a slim, size M body. To make the big sizes, they take that same pattern and simply stretch it in every direction. Nobody redraws it for a bigger body. Here's what that does to you.
Stretched upEnds at the hip
Redrawn by usEnds at the hip
-
It gets longer as it gets wider.
A pattern stretched to fit your chest also stretches in length. The hem lands near your thighs, and the shirt swallows you.
-
Thin fabric gets pulled tight.
Fabric that hangs loose on a slim body stretches over your chest and stomach, and shows every curve underneath.
-
Nobody checks it sitting down.
It's fitted on a mannequin, standing up. The moment you sit, the fabric bunches into a fold line across your stomach.
So we threw out the old pattern and started again, on a blank page, for bigger bodies only.
The fit
Cut for your build.
Not scaled up.
Every pattern starts on a blank page with one question: how will this look on a big man, standing, walking and sitting? Here's exactly what that changes, and why you'll look sharper in it.

Seams sliding down your arm Shoulders that sit right
-
The problemSeams sliding down your arm
Shoulders that sit right
The shoulder seam lands exactly on your shoulder point and the sleeve ends where it should. You look broad and strong, never swallowed by fabric.
-
The problemFabric that clings to your chest
A clean chest
We add room and structure across the chest, and choose fabrics with real body, so the front lies smooth instead of outlining what's underneath.
-
The problemTops that hug your stomach
A straight fall
The front is cut with extra room between chest and hip, so it drops straight down like a curtain. It skims your stomach. It never grips it, from the front or from the side.
-
The problemToo long, or it rides up
Ends at your hip
Every top ends at your hip bone, in every size. Long enough to cover your waistband when you sit or reach, never long enough to hang. You look taller and sharper.
-
The problemSleeves that grip your arm
Room in the sleeve
The sleeve is cut wider through the bicep and finished with a turned hem instead of a tight band, so it ends mid-arm and stays there. Nothing digs in when you reach, fold your arms or sit down to eat.

Sharp from
every angle.
A shirt can look fine from the front and give you away from the side, or the moment you sit down. Every Monday Theory pattern is checked standing, side-on, from behind and sitting down, so it holds its line in all four. See for yourself.
Clean across the chest. Ends right at the hip.

From the first coffee to the last dinner.
The craft
Quality you
can feel.
Premium isn't a label. It's what you notice the moment you put it on: fabric with real weight and a soft hand, seams that lie flat, collars that hold their shape and buttons that feel solid between your fingers.
01 · The pattern
Drawn from scratch for a bigger build.
Not a slim pattern made larger. Every piece is drafted for a big man's proportions, then checked standing, side-on and sitting down before it's cut.
- Neat, even stitching on every seam
- Seams that lie flat against you
- Reinforced where clothes take strain
- Collars and plackets that hold their shape

-
01 · Navy / Ivory brushstroke
A reactive-dyed print that runs right through the cloth, a flat ribbed neck that keeps its shape, and twin-needle hems.
See Brushstroke -
02 · Washed Caramel afterlight
Every piece is dyed and then sprayed by hand, so the wash lands differently on each one.
See Afterlight -
03 · Slate Grey altitude
Topographic lines knitted in tone-on-tone, diagonal panel seams and a woven sleeve panel set in by hand.
See Altitude -
04 · Sand rendering
A pigment print with real brush texture, finished with a heavy screen-printed box graphic that stays crisp.
See Rendering -
05 · Caramel off grid
A two-pass screen print, so the black sits dense on the caramel without cracking at the edges.
See Off Grid -
06 · Charcoal encore
Technical mesh inserted along a curved seam, which takes four more operations than a flat panel and is the reason it holds its shape.
See Encore -
07 · Charcoal jacquard quarter-zip
The diamond is knitted into the cloth, not stamped on it, and the placket and hem are trimmed in real leather.
See Jacquard Quarter-Zip -
08 · Washed Charcoal studio script
Washed in small lots so the clouding is different on every piece, then printed with a soft-hand ink you can barely feel.
See Studio Script -
09 · Charcoal Blue charcoal ribbed panel
Seven panels where most tees have two, each one cut so the rib lines meet exactly at the seam.
See Charcoal Ribbed Panel -
10 · Washed Charcoal cool wind
Stone-washed until it feels like a tee you have owned for years, then printed in two whites for depth.
See Cool Wind -
11 · Grey Marl suede patch polo
Real suede on the placket and a leather patch stitched through, both of which darken and soften with wear.
See Suede Patch Polo -
12 · Ivory tangent
Bands printed in translucent layers so they overlap like glass, on a cloth woven dense enough to stay opaque.
See Tangent -
13 · Slate Blue head start
Printed front and back in a soft cream that sinks into the washed cloth instead of sitting on top of it.
See Head Start -
14 · Sand cloud wash
Dyed in small lots by hand, so the clouding is genuinely different on every single piece.
See Cloud Wash -
15 · Mid Grey lab 01
Three separate patches, each one embroidered and then stitched on, with the dashed lines printed to line them up.
See Lab 01 -
16 · Black monochrome
Contrast white topstitching on the shoulders, armholes and hem, which only looks good if the stitch line is dead straight.
See Monochrome -
17 · Navy blue hour polo
The plaid is dyed into the yarn before knitting, so it will never wash out or crack.
See Blue Hour Polo -
18 · Navy unwritten polo
A waffle knitted deep enough to catch the light, and a collar built with a separate stand so it stays up.
See Unwritten Polo -
19 · Olive outbound
A sherpa-lined collar, bound edges on the placket and cuffs, and contrast stitching that shows every seam is straight.
See Outbound -
20 · Olive olive ribbed panel
Seven panels where most tees have two, each one cut so the rib lines meet exactly at the seam.
See Olive Ribbed Panel -
21 · Washed Brown mandala
A discharge print: the tan is bleached into the brown rather than laid on top, so the line stays fine and the hand stays soft.
See Mandala -
22 · Washed Black splatter
Splattered and then garment-washed, so the pattern sits inside the cloth and softens with every wash.
See Splatter -
23 · Charcoal pixel perfect
Four screens: two solids, a halftone and the type, each one registered to the pixel.
See Pixel Perfect -
24 · Sage studded
Every stud is set by hand with a backing washer, so none of them pull through the cloth.
See Studded -
25 · Indigo Stone Wash long game
A raised puff print on a stone-washed ground: the hardest print to keep clean, and the one that lasts longest.
See Long Game -
26 · Black unbothered
A two-layer back print, white over grey, so the word has depth instead of sitting flat.
See Unbothered -
27 · Black unfiltered
A photographic halftone screen print in six greys, which is what it takes to hold an X-ray on black cotton.
See Unfiltered -
28 · Terracotta unhurried
Cloud-dyed by hand, then printed with fine annotation type that has to stay sharp on a soft ground.
See Unhurried -
29 · Bone the wanderer
A water-based print that sinks into the cloth instead of sitting on top of it, so the back stays soft and never cracks.
See The Wanderer -
30 · Ivory / Indigo silent places
A six-screen ink wash: every indigo is laid down on its own pass, which is what keeps the mountains soft at the edge.
See Silent Places -
31 · Sage tailwind
Garment-dyed first and printed in seven passes after, which is the only way to hold cream and red on a ground this dark.
See Tailwind -
32 · Stone moonlit pine
Garment-dyed, then sublimated so the picture lives in the fibre: it cannot peel, crack or wash out.
See Moonlit Pine -
33 · White good vibes
A six-colour screen print with a halftone photograph inside the letters, registered by hand on every piece.
See Good Vibes -
34 · Lilac Wash overprint
Washed first and printed second, by hand, so the black lands somewhere different on every piece.
See Overprint -
35 · White / Blue mystic cat
Sublimated onto an open mesh, where the ink has to land on the loops and not in the holes.
See Mystic Cat -
36 · White step forward
A nine-screen water-based print laid down wet on wet, which keeps an illustration this big soft enough to fall with the cloth.
See Step Forward -
37 · Sand ronin
Printed on a garment-dyed sand body, which needs an extra under-base to keep the cream in the illustration clean.
See Ronin -
38 · Acid Sand wild urban
Every piece is acid-washed on its own and printed after, so the ground under the elephant is different each time.
See Wild Urban -
39 · Powder Blue dreamer
A fine-mesh print, 305 threads to the inch, which is what it takes to hold the thin strings and the small birds.
See Dreamer
03 · The feel
Fabrics chosen for how they fall.
Dense cotton for the tee, a textured waffle for the polo and overshirt, Oxford cloth for the shirt and linen-cotton for the warmest days. Each one has the body to hang straight on a bigger frame and the softness to wear all day.

A note from us
We've stood in that fitting room too.
Tugging at a hem. Checking our side profile in the mirror. Holding our breath for a photo. Putting it back on the rail and leaving with another black t-shirt. Every one of us has done it.
For years, big sizes just meant regular clothes made bigger. Nobody asked how they'd look on an actual big body, across a dinner table or in the back of a group photo.
So we built Monday Theory: patterns drawn from scratch, fabrics with real body, tops that end at the hip and every fit checked sitting down. Made so you can stop thinking about your clothes and start enjoying the room.

Questions
Good to know.
Everything people ask us before they order, answered straight.
Fit & sizing
Who are these clothes for?
Men with a bigger build, from 2XL to 7XL (chest 45 to 63 inches). If clothes have ever clung to your chest or stomach, ridden up when you sit, or hung too long on you, they were made for you.
Will it make me look bigger?
No, and that's the whole point. Clothes make you look bigger when they cling, pull or hang too long. Ours sit clean on the chest, fall straight past the stomach and stop at the hip, which gives you one long, sharp line from shoulder to shoe.
How do I pick my size?
Wrap a tape around the fullest part of your chest, under your arms, keeping it level, and match it to the size guide on every product. Between two sizes? Pick the bigger one. If it's still not right, exchanges are free for 7 days.
Isn't this just regular clothing made bigger?
No. That's exactly the problem we set out to fix. Our patterns are drawn from scratch for bigger bodies: more room through the chest and stomach, length based on your torso instead of your width, and every fit checked sitting down.
Will the top be too long on me?
No. Every top ends at the hip bone. We add room in the width without the extra length most brands add, so a bigger size still ends at your hip and covers your waistband.
Do I need to tuck the shirts in?
No. Every top is designed to be worn untucked and still look sharp. You can tuck them in if you like.
Do you sell trousers too?
Not yet. We make tops: tees, polos and quarter-zips. Tops are where a bigger build is let down most, so that is where we started, and it is what we do properly.
Quality & feel
How do I know the quality is really premium?
Zoom into any photo on this page: the fabric texture, the stitching, the buttons, the collar. That's the standard on every piece. And you don't have to take our word for it. Try it at home, and if it doesn't feel worth the price, send it back free within 7 days.
What does the fabric feel like?
Substantial, soft and smooth. Each fabric has more body than you'd expect, so it hangs straight instead of clinging, and it's soft enough to wear from morning to night.
Is the ivory shirt see-through?
No. It's a dense linen-cotton weave chosen to stay fully opaque, even in a light colour.
How do I keep it looking new?
Wash cold, inside out, and line dry. That keeps the colour, the shape and the collar at their best, wash after wash.
Why does it cost more than a regular t-shirt?
Because it's made differently: patterns drawn for your body, better fabric, cleaner finishing and every fit checked sitting down. One piece you reach for every week is better value than five you never wear.
Delivery & returns
Is delivery free?
Yes. Delivery is free on every order, with no minimum spend.
What's your return and exchange policy?
Try it on at home. If it doesn't fit or you don't love it, return or exchange it within 7 days of delivery. There's no return fee and no hassle.
What if my size is wrong?
Exchange it for the right size within 7 days, free. You don't pay for delivery either way.
Price & ordering
Why is every piece the same price?
Because your size is not a premium. Big-and-tall ranges almost always charge more at the top of the run, which is a tax on being large. Every piece here is one price in every size, 2XL to 7XL.
Can I order more than one?
Yes. Each one is ordered on its own, and delivery is free on every order, so there's no minimum to reach and nothing to add to make the shipping worth it.
Will you spam me?
No. We email you about your order, and that's it. If you choose to hear about new pieces, you can unsubscribe in one click.
